Meet Ezra
We would like to formally introduce God's newest blessing to our family. Ezra Sage Hindman was born Thursday evening, August 25th.
The delivery went very well, and very quickly. He is a little guy. Each of our boys has started out that way, though at 6 lbs 8 oz Ezra is the smallest yet. His length at birth was 19.75 inches.
He came out screaming, but has been quite content since then. He is off to a good start as far as eating and is already working his way back up to his birth weight.
He had a few visitors from Legacy when he was at the hospital, and since getting home he's been able to meet a few relatives, a few more from Legacy, and a few neighbors on our street.
Denyce is doing well. We're all trying to allow her to take it easy and focus on feeding Ezra. We are fortunate to have Denyce's mom, Kathy, here with us to help.
Nicknames have a way of happening on their own, but Denyce and I like "Z" for short. Malachi prefers to call him "Ez." Speaking of Ezra's brothers, they love him. We find them multiple times a day admiring him, stroking his hair, giving him kisses, etc. Malachi likes to read to him, and yesterday he read a very special book to Ezra called "My Big Brother," which was given to us (to Malachi) when Silas was born.
We're not sure what it is about us that compels God to keep giving us boys, but we thank him for each one. And for our Kharkov mission team, this now makes six boys, and still zero girls!
We thank God for this gift!

We'll have girls for you.
Aw! He is so precious! I am so thankful that things went well. It was hard to imagine switching COUNTRIES to give birth, let alone Doctors and Hosptials, etc. Denise, you look wonderful, keep taking care of yourself! And as my dad was the youngest of 3 boys, I would say that it is a blessed situation and the mother of boys has a special job on her hands. God bless you all!

Oh, Thank You So Much for this update. The photos are wonderful – and the shot of the three of you together (Mama, Papa and little Ezra) is my favorite. And in that photo, Denyce is by far the loveliest.
Wishing you all grace and peace and continued good health. Think about you so very often and say a little prayer.
S BOGom,
Eileen

Congratulations again!! I'm soooo happy for y'all. Thank you so much for telling about how the big brothers love him. That is so important. I think a lot of that special love and feeling comes from good parenting before the new baby is even born. You are so blessed. I'll keep praying for all of you. Love, Miss Glynda

Rob and Denyce, I know you both are thrilled. I am so thankful you had a safe delivery and that all is well with Ezra. I know you are thankful God blessed you now with three boys. I don't know why He has given you three boys, but I have no doubt He knows exactly what He is doing. Perhaps you sometimes feel it a daunting task, but God assures us it is an attainable, worthy goal. God has given you the responsibility to train husbands, fathers, disciples of Jesus, ministers, Elders, Deacons. And, if God does bless you with a daughter some day, you'll teach her all the commands God has for her. All in all, you must train them to be men "holy and pleasing, prepared for every good work." I know you will both continue to keep God as the center of your family. May He continue to bless you both. God bless. Becki

Thanks for sharing these great photos. Ez looks so alert (when he is awake). He must have been tumbling around in Denyce's belly listening to his brothers daily for 9 months, just longing to get out there and interact with them. At last he can do that. There will just be no stopping him. You will be amazed at how much faster he will do everything……just to keep up with his brothers. God bless you all and hope to see you real soon??
